the Global Running Foundation (GRF)

The Global Running Foundation (GRF) was created as the charitable arm of RunGP, the world’s first team-based, competitive running league.
GRF’s mission is to champion meaningful causes through the lens of running, driving awareness and action where it matters most.

To fulfill this mission, the GRF focuses on two interconnected pillars that are critical to society and deeply tied to running.

Health

Promoting active lifestyles to combat global health issues and improve overall well-being.

Opportunity

Creating pathways for underprivileged and marginalized groups to access the benefits of running, promoting inclusion and equality, and fostering economic opportunities.

the broken
charity model

We’re fed up with how the charity sector operates - constantly begging us for money, guilt-tripping us into giving, and then... nothing. No clarity on how our funds are spent, just fancy offices, high salaries, and posh dinners.
Gen Z and Millenials want more transparency and accountability, along with more active involvement. They question how much of their donation supports causes rather than salaries and other costs.
The result is that our hard-earned cash isn’t making the impact we hoped for.

When we launched the Global Running Foundation (GRF), we knew we wanted to be free from institutional donors and the outdated, inefficient tactics of traditional charities.

We wanted to build something different — a mechanism where:

Everyone could see where their contributions were going.
Costs would be low, efficient, and transparent.
It would actually appeal to younger generations who want their contributions to matter.
And it would create a community where supporters
aren’t just bystanders—they’re decision-makers with
a real say in the projects and how things are run.
Oh, and it had to be fun.
